Cut the wire into a 3 5 inch strip. After you do this stick it into the door lock and start to play around with it. Strip off the rubber knobs on the ends as they will only get in the way. Fashion a lock pick using household items.

Materials required you will need a small lock and a piece of thick wire. First create your pick by opening out one of the bobby pins or paperclips until it is straight. Bend back the pin so that you have a long piece of metal wire. Bobby pins or hair pins work best but you can also use heavy duty paperclips or other stiff bits of wire.

First take your wire and fashion a loop at the end of it. Then bend the last 1 8 of the pick up at a 20 degree angle. These types of locks are very easy to get open because they have an easy turn inside to push them. Picking a lock with a paper clip.
